Hello Carole and welcome to the forum, taxis are plentiful in the Port and will cost about 5€ to or from the Gotmar/Gommar area to the central area.
The taxi rank and main bus stop is beside the roundabout on the front, restaurants will happily phone for you or you can do it yourself on 971866213.
