Yes a lovely picture, Sparky! Indeed i remember i was in PP this time last year, exact same weather, must bookmark these dates Such a change from here, daughter trapped overnight in the office, most people unable to get to work, outside is like a scene from some futuristic horror movie were people have fled and abandoned everything. i kid you not

21 degs eh hope the mild weather sticks around only just over a week till we arrive

i had -21 in the car at 6 30 am going to work today although it did pick up a bit to -17 the closer i got to glasgow city centre, the afternoon was positively balmy at -11 though

got to agree smiddy never seen anything like it here in all my years, m8 motorway closed for 3 days, when you tell people of that in years to come they'll think you're making it up

Just seen the forecast for Northern Spain Sparky, looks similar to here maybe snow for Pollensa for the second year running? Becareful Sparky mate

Spain Weather - Thursday December 16 2010
Cold, wind, rain and snow have put 36 provinces on alert today.

The north of the country and the islands will see the rain and strong gusts of wind. Snow is possible on Mallorca above just 300m and may even reach sea level at times.
The snow line in the north of the country will be between 600 and 900m.

The Spanish Meteorological Agency, AEMET says that low temperature yellow alerts are in place in Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Cataluña, Comunidad Valenciana, Madrid, Asturias, Murcia, La Rioja, Aragón, Navarra, Cáceres, Ourense, Almería, Granada and Jaén.

There are also yellow alerts for rain on El Hierro, La Gomera, La Palma and Tenerife.

Yellow alerts for winds are in force in Huesca, Gerona, Lérida, Tarragona, Navarra, Mallorca y Menorca, and Gerona which goes up to an Orange Alert.

Both the Baleares are on Orange alert for wind.

Thanks SWS, there was snow up on the mountains yesterday but not around the Port. I think the worst of the high wind was during the night, didn't get much sleep because the shutters and windows were rattling also i could hear things flying up and down the road but it is much calmer now.
