Cold, wind, rain and snow have put 36 provinces on alert today.
The north of the country and the islands will see the rain and strong gusts of wind. Snow is possible on Mallorca above just 300m and may even reach sea level at times.
The snow line in the north of the country will be between 600 and 900m.
The Spanish Meteorological Agency, AEMET says that low temperature yellow alerts are in place in Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Cataluña, Comunidad Valenciana, Madrid, Asturias, Murcia, La Rioja, Aragón, Navarra, Cáceres, Ourense, Almería, Granada and Jaén.
There are also yellow alerts for rain on El Hierro, La Gomera, La Palma and Tenerife.
Yellow alerts for winds are in force in Huesca, Gerona, Lérida, Tarragona, Navarra, Mallorca y Menorca, and Gerona which goes up to an Orange Alert.
Both the Baleares are on Orange alert for wind.
