With the continued absence of the Barnard Hamilton webcam this year, I have been getting my fix from the Sail 'n' Surf webcam but the quality of picture has always looked a bit grey. Not anymore though, don't know what they have done but the quality of the image now is brilliant. Perhaps they cleaned the camera's lens.

Thanks though for providing this great facility, which helps to keep many of us going when back in the gloomy UK.

I cant install axis media controll. Any ideas on how to do this. Helpppp.

Same here ! !

I've installed the add on according to Windows Vista but nothing doing

Please don't laugh....i know i live here but i can't get it either and now i have a new laptop with Windows 7.

It works for me but can't explain how
I'm using a 'hand me down' laptop from my Son so the software would have already been installed.
Any IT experts out there?

Once working you'll see that the connection lasts for only 20 secs.
You just need to hit the refresh button on your toolbar to restore the feed [if that's the right terminology?]

I just tried viewing it in Internet Explorer which didn't work. I then tried viewing it in Firefox and it worked on that. Still have to re-load the page every minute though to see a 'current' view.

Hi Sparky, I use firefox and have just logged on to the webcam. It's torture, Sitting here at home in the rain and looking at the blue sky, swaying palm tree and the waves lapping. HELP!!!!!!!!.

Sailsurf webcam

me where sail n surf is please ?

Thanks.

Sailsurf webcam

Thanks Sparky, thought it looked like where the bridge was but was'nt sure.

My sister-in-law has arrived today! wish I had  it looks a lovely day on the webcam.

Thanks for your famous weather reports, I like know what the weather is up to

there...... :)

Not very computer literate me. All I get when I try to view is the hourglass jamming on and then having to log out of everything!!!

Can someone perhaps do an "idiots guide" step-by-step way of how I can view it......please !!!

It sounds like you are trying to access the Barnard Hamilton webcam, since it has been down this is the problem that it gives.

The sail and surf wecam, however, should come straight up once you manage to login to it (perhaps using the Mozilla Firefox browser in preference to Internet Explorer). This webcam is only live for about 15 seconds but if you press F5 on your keyboard it will refresh the picture again.

Unfortunately WW, it is the Sail and Surf that causes a lot of us problems! I have never been able to log into it. RIP the Bernard Hamilton webcam:mad:

No Sparky, I have something else loaded - dont ask me what, as not sure what does what on my laptop, its slow enough loading with all the photos I have on it, so I wont load anything else up. I dont usually have any problems at all, but S&S simply says it cant load on my machine - so give up trying lady! Just have to come out and see for myself!:)
