Wedding in PP!

Hi Everyone,
Just back from pp where we got married on 7th July!
Had a fantastic day.....Rev Redfearn did a lovely service in the church in the square followed by tapas at Makassar and then the reception at the Nautic Club where the food was amazing!
Holidaymakers and locals all took pictures, and when we walked from the square to the Nautic Club with the spanish guitar player (who plays at the restaurant next to the Daina sometimes) the streets literally stopped to watch!!
We ended up in Bonys at 1am until nearly daylight!
Even thinking of going back for our official honeymoon and touring around, instead of a carribean cruise as we dont think pp can be beaten!

Hi guys, thanks for the reply.
Yes, jiggy I think my new husband (!) will agree about things going downhill.....his golf scratch match was cancelled due to the rain today and he was forced to come shopping with me instead!
I will be doing a post about some of the meals we had in the eating out section soon so watch this space!

Hi Gemmakate,

Could I ask how you went about making the arrangements for your wedding i.e. arranging the Church etc. We would love to renew our wedding vows (after 10 years of wedded bliss!!) and would love to do that in the church in the square. Not sure where to start though.

Any help/advice would really be appreciated.

We were in Bony's that night - didn't see any blushing brides but then I DID have a couple of Bacardi's... after Bony's measures I might not recognise my own mother!

Hi everyone,

Im about to do my bit on the eating out section about some of the meals we had during our stay, so watch this space!

Snowy, we live in Staffordshire and the question should be where doesnt my huband play! They have a golf society which goes to a different course each month around here, and obviously whenever were away...... Valderama, Sandy Lane, Alcanada, you name it! His course at home is Beaudesert on Cannock Chase though. (he is there now infact)

Jessiebean, it took a lot of planning and I know a fab wedding organiser who made the day from Mallorca, but I can put you in touch with the Vicar first off if you wish? He is lovely and made us so relaxed.

Lala, were you still in Bonys at 1am ish? I know the measures are large but you couldnt miss a girl in a sparkly tiara and big sparkly dress!

And finally, Yelob... a lot of our guests were staying at the I'la D'or and along pine walk so you must have seen some of them!

Just Planning our honeymoon there now, I know there are so many amazing places to go in the world, and the honeymoon is a present with no expense spared, but we just want to go back to PP! We may have a few nights at Son Brull and then go to Cala San Vincente, Deia to La Residencia and into Palma too. Anyone got any experiences?

Funny you mention La Residencia,it was the highlight of my trip in one way,I had a (very expensive) lunch on the terrace after my trek across the mountains,I felt I deserved it.The views were incredible and I mossied around the hotel itself,really beautiful.I said to my wife if we were kidless I'd be doing a few days in La residencia followed by a week at the Ilya D'or.Happy honeymoon!

We left before 1 I think (who wears a watch in PP?) - but not long before - the night porter was on in our hotel! But thanks for the description I now feel a little relieved - I certainly couldn't have been that squiffy or I would have remembered you in your sparkly outfit!

Per previous note Reads Hotel is worth a visit, lovely restaurant, have a great honeymoon your spoilt for choice, lucky you.

Contact details for the vicar would be wonderful - I think I have met him before, is he called Michael? (when I was on holiday with my Mum last year I got bitten by a very nasty mosquito whilst we were outside the Church and his wife offered to drive me to an emergency doctor in Pollensa as it was a Sunday!!!).

How did you come across the wedding planner?

My congratulations too gemmakate! Mike officiated at our 25 wedding anniversary renewal of vows 2 years ago with 30 or our friends and family over at a rented villa. It was a VERY hot day in August and he still wore all the robes in the garden! He and his wife are lovely people although we havent bumped into them this year.
Have a wonderful life together - youve certainly made a great start to it.
