My daughter watched the match in a Spanish bar in Liverpool with her Spanish class. She and her m8s ended up painting all the Spaniards faces with flags! . said it was an amazing atmosphere. At the end, all the Spaniards ran out into the street right into the police! The policeman said 'Viva Espana!' and ended up getting his photo taken 100 times with all of them My daughter is now an official mascot

WOW!!!!! i have never seen so many people in PP, every bar packed to the gunnels. We went to JK's and the atmosphere was electric, it seemed like everyone was willing Spain to win and when Iniesta scored the place just erupted, everyone went wild when the ref finally blew the whistle, all you could hear was fireworks, car horns, whistles, drums and anything that made a noise.
We left the bar and made our way to the roundabout......omg it was crazy...i tried to take photos but it was impossible. From there we went to the square where the noise was incredible, we escaped into Nostalgia and had a few vinos.
We walked home through the square just before 2am and it was still heaving with people and noise, an absolutely brilliant result and a fantastic night.
Viva Espana!!!!!

Yes, well done Spain. The best team won, although for a while it looked like it was going to be one of those games where they were not going to score and the Dutch were going to sneak it. Not suprised by the Dutch tactics. Pleased for Iniesta (what a hero he must be now) who is a model professional and in my opinion, the best midfielder in Europe over the last few years.

We had been told earlier in the day that if they won everyone would head for the roundabout first and then back to the square.
Sea Captain must have got there pretty quick, when i got there you could not move and there was no traffic just bodies and boy were they partying , it is going to take some time to clean the square today .

Rafael Nadal was there and he said he 'cried like a little child'! Must admit I had a tear in my eye too... Spain have been the most professional and sportsmanlike team by far throughout the tournament and it is such a deserved victory. (Thought the Queen of Spain was an absolute hoot when that goal went in - can't see ours lowering her regal facade to that extent in similar circumstances! Mind you, doubt she will ever get the chance...) Funny how everyone in my UK town wanted Spain to win - you should have heard the cheers ringing from every window in our road when they scored! Hope y'all are recovering from your hangovers!

It must have been fanatastic, and all the better for having a public holiday today - officially!! Some of the celebrations over Spain were shown on TV last night and they looked amazing, how lucky are all the people holidaying at the moment and getting caught up in this weekend's atmosphere!
It was a brilliant match to watch too with tension building up right from the start so the end result just topped the charts!

And the first person to pick up a medal? - an Englishman!! Couldn't be better!

It was definitely not quiet. We went to watch the match in the Bar Culutal along with about 200 others. What an amazing atmosphere, every decision cheered, every nearly goal applauded with jumps and when the goal went in they were all on the tables and stage. As Sparky said never witnessed such an atmosphere. What a night, Well Done Espana
