I asked one of the locals tonight why it was not observed here and he told me that it was not a PH anywhere today, however it has been decided that from next year on, either the 11th or 12th will become a national day off.
But i bet there were a few sickies thrown today and watching TV now in Madrid where the team are on stage after an epic bus ride through the streets there are going to be a few absentees tomorrow .

Not sure what you mean siraf, all Spaniards are at heart Spaniards, especially where football is concerned, in La Razón today it says that the Catalans are proud to be Spanish. A CIS opinion poll shows 65.7% feeling that way,

We watched the final in Restaurant Llenaire, the atmosphere was amazing, when Spain scored the place exploded, everyone had a wonderful night.

what a night it was and I dont even like football ..we ventured up to the square and sat outside Can Torrens .The square just erupted when the winning goal was scored and when the final whilstle blew.It was a fantastic atmosphere and I am really glad to have been there for it
