What to pack

Were they also confused as to the location of their elbow?

We take loads of stuff! Clothes, shoes, first aid kit (I have 2 young daughters - eldest one managed to dislocate her thumb last time - obviously outside the scope of the first aid kit, but that's another story!), sun creams, mozzie repellent, books, various portable entertainment devices, various chargers and adaptors to keep said devices working, DVDs (for those wet days - came in handy May last year, unfortunately!), travel bed bumper for youngest daughter, booster seat for eldest daughter (v. light and saves a bit of cash!), nappies/wipes for the young one, various swimming aids and inflatables. And a new addition for this year, a light-weight four gang extension lead (Thanks for the tip Mark1875). No room for the kitchen sink, fingers crossed that the villa has one.

Was this in your hand luggage or suitcase as I was going to take some as well.

Does anyone think microwave popcorn will be safe as i dont want it popping mid flight.

You can buy popcorn here in the supermarkets, so if in doubt don't bring. You can get both microwave and saucepan type.

Why on earth would you want to bring microwave pop corn on holiday with you ?

The kids love it and it keeps them quiet for an hour.

I think that may (must) be a wind-up - look at the weight - it's a whole suitcase allowance! There are shops in Mallorca, fruit is plentiful & cheap & they even sell baked beans although not sure about kippers... but why?
