Where else is similar to Pollensa/PP?

Hi all,

we are struggling to get out to PP this year, the villa and carhire deals that are left are really expensive, so we may opt for mainland...so as you all know PP and the town very well, where on the mainland should we head....places like Javea, Nerja have been mentioned.

To give you an idea of what we like:

Pollensa old town for the markets, coffee sipping, people watching and especially the night for the resturants and 'local' vibe.

Pollensa beach as it never gets over crowded and the calm blue waters make it an ideal spot both day and early evening.

G&T at Illa D'or.....hmmmm bliss.

so where can you suggest that has an old town and unspoilt resort like PP?

We've had this question several times before and haven't yet heard of anywhere comparable in Mallorca. If you're interested in Spain or other countries, please do post this on the Tapas Bar - see The Tapas Bar - Message Board - Yuku as we try to stick to Puerto Pollensa (love it or not!) in this forum.

By the way, Car Hire is an issue in all of Spain this year ... something called the Credit Crunch & unfortunately Spain has been hit harder than most.

Great news......we are going to PP, just done a super Villa deal and carhire package!! We will be out there on Tuesday 14th July - can't wait!!!
