- I read an article about wild flowers in Europe recently which mentioned Mallorca as being particularly good in the Spring time - it said;
“…..The Tramuntana mountains are particularly good. In spring the slopes of the roads are splotched with sunshine-yellow acacias and crimson poppies, roadsides weedy with wild gladioli & chrysanthems.”
It did not say (1) what the best areas were for wild flowers, or
(2) which week in spring time would possibly be best for wildflowers?
I am interested in spending a week to focus on seeing the wild flowers and wonder if you could help me in answering the above two questions. Or could put me in touch with someone who would know?
I appreciate the weather plays a crucial role in when the wildflowers appear - but I am looking for a ‘best estimate’. They have been a little late here in England this year.
Thank you - tessaanddennis
