Dickinson Villas

Hi Pollesa people

Coming back to PP with the family again this year as we loved it so much last year!
Just about to book a villa through Dickinson Villas in PP, they would like the deposit sent to a bank account, the rest cash on arrival. The transfer to bank account is making me nervous, I can't pay it with my credit card for protection.

Anyone heard of them or know if they are legit?

Any advice would be welcome

I think they are a new company, they have an office on the main Street in PP and also do real estate. I have met the guy who owns/runs it and he seems very nice, his name was Joan. However I cannot vouch for the rentals side of the business as I met him whilst looking to buy. My gut feeling was good though.

We have gone ahead and sent the deposit, it all seems very professional and upfront, have talked to them on the phone too. I am trusting my gut instinct. Its good to know yours was good too.

I don't want to scaremonger but in my opinion no way would I pay for something where I had no comeback. With a credit card you have protection. We can all "sound nice" over the 'phone but you have absolutely no idea who this person/company is.

I do hope it works out okay for you.

I might be wrong, but I think this is related to Inmobiliaria Servera, and the Joan mentioned is in fact Joan Servera. The family has been involved in property development and rental in PP for many years, if I am right. Joan runs the rental side of the business, from the office in the port, and he has helped us with many things over the years. The comments about the risks involved are very valid, but I think you should be fine.

You will be fine if you book a villa through Dickinson Villas, they have an office on Main Street through PP. The family have been involved in real estate, property building and rentals for a number of years, including car hire.

There's a property on the front next to the Guardia civil park that's being rented through Joan serverva Dickinson that we like the look of. Has anyone stayed there or for the residents of pp, could you tell me if the views from the top apartment are masked by a large tree?? Would love a sea view without a load of bark! Thank you muchly!

Have a look at google maps street scene give you good idea.
