So, Flights up to the end of feb 2016 have just been released. In we go and check the same week in feb as for the last few years. Surprise, surprise. Same time and date as last year up £70. Oil down 50% on last year. Me thinks Mr Easyjet is taking the you know what.

Cath you are keen, Saturday is the 16th so when does that mean everything happens?

Have you booked already Cath? ;).

All booked..still 2 flights a week from Bristol (..Thurs and Sunday ) as fires are the Saturday next year we have booked Sun 10 - sun 24 Jan that way we can have time before and after the weekend of the celebrations..I can say my arm did not take very much twisting to book 2 weeks instead of 7 or 10 days ✈️🎉😉

It had to happen with compensation of 400E for a 3 hour delay!! being forced on Carriers!! Claimants can go back 6 years!!

It could be the end of cheap flights!! If they cannot find a way around it!! :(

Agreed. I would rather have the option to waive my right to delay compensation and keep the pricing cheaper.

Now the airline's auditors will insist the carriers make provision for the potential for compensation, and even if some of this risk is underwritten by an insurer, passengers will still have to pay more.

I think the rot set in when airlines were forced to pay compensation for the "Ash cloud", in my opinion that should have been for the insurance companies to deal with :(.
