I just wanted to let you all know that if you are here this week El Posito will not be serving dinner on Tuesday 14th April because they are hosting a private party.

We had a fabulous meal last night to celebrate Colin's birthday. I wanted to have a special meal and so spoke to Chris a couple of weeks ago about them doing a Caldereta de Bogavante, so last night we had a couple of drinks at the bar, Chris advised us not to have a starter as the meal was quite big and i am glad he did because when Toni brought it to the table it was in a huge pot.

We have had caldereta before in El Posito and other restaurants but chefs Ricardo and Fernando excelled themselves, Colin quickly declared it was the best he had ever eaten and i had to agree with him.

Our thanks to Toni, Chris, Miguel, Ricardo and Fernando for making Colin's evening special :D:D.

Sounds wonderful - and a belated Happy Birthday to Colin :D

Sounds good - I like shellfish, etc., so may well be right up my street - is it nice?? Please answer Sparky in less than 500 words!!

Looks fabulous - I'll be having some of that - can you lend me some money? Ha, Ha!!

If you don't mind me saying, in the photograph, excellent as it is, the glass appears to be slightly more than half full!

That is one big bowl of soup!

Not really a seafood lover but that is very impressive looking.

I forgot to say that were also prawns and clams in the stew, we did the best we could but a "doggy bag" was needed in the end ;).

It looks amazing - but I notice that you are avoiding the question about lending me money!!! I imagine that it doesn't cost 125 pesetas!!!

Yes mate it was for two and none of it came out of a tin ;).

The Glass was obviously more than half full as you posted the above twice, ;) and more power to you
