In the UK, depending on the time of day, we stream between Mallorca Sunshine, Club FM and Radio One Mallorca. We also listen to RNE 3 to improve our Spanish too.

On the island, we mostly listen to BBC 6 Music.

Which Mallorca radio stations do you listen to and why?

I listen all day at work to Cadena Dial, I also listen to Mallorca sunshine radio at home mostly in the garden as well as Cadena 100 for more modern Spanish music, for chillin out I listen to Cafe Cody, very relaxing and chilled out music.

Kiss is my fave as it plays a lot of great music and not a huge amount of chat. (in Mallorca)

What frequency do I search for for the stations please? Just thinking I could sit in my UK garden and imagine I was in PP. 😀😀

Kiss FM for us too. Have the Sonos linked to TuneIn App and have it on very regularly at home!

Most of them are available on TuneIn. Might struggle a bit with a FM or, even worse, DAB though :)

Yes Tunein app for me too, and online, you can get most online as well.

Never thought of that

So download tunein and off I go

scotslizzy

Can't find Kiss FM Mallorca on TuneIn......loads of them, but not the one I want.

Oh wait....think I have it!

Do you need to subscribe to Tune in Premium? Can't fine a mallorcan one when I search?

No. They are all there. The only difference between the two is when you first start a stream you get a 30 second advert on the free version.

RadioFm app....can stream from all over world....I was going to buy a DAB radio from John Lewis a couple of years ago, but the salesman said why bother, use the free app...put it through something like a bluetooth Bose & sounds awesome

I've got DAB in my car. Listened to Talksport on my hour journey home today. Would say I got about 15 minutes in totsl of blackspots. Just about followed what was going on but until they sort it out I wouldn't bother.

I bought a small portable DAB radio, great here in the uk, no DAB stations on Mallorca, none in Rome, very few in Milan and some in Barcelona, but great for FM in Pollensa.
Found in the past driving around that KissFM is the only station you can pick up over most of Mallorca, lots of other stations, but as soon as you get the wrong side of a mountain you lose the signal.

I've been listening to your recommendations of Cadena Dial, Cadena 100 and Cafe Cody. They are really excellent. Thank you.

All I need to do now is find good bars in PP that play these three kinds of music. Bar Tecun played good music for a short time before the refurb but now their taste in music (and beers) is more amusing than entertaining. To escape their US stadium rock, I had to down my beer in record time and leave before the froth had run down the glass. Unlikely to return. La Batucada is the only one I know.

The English-speaking Mallorcan stations all seemed to be stuck in a bland nostalgic 1980s-1990's world. Like 'music on hold' for a crisis centre.

Found another good one, on the radio and Tunein Ibiza global radio, nice chill out and deeper house
