Hiya All,

Not meaning to go over old ground again.......But the missus & myself are coming over this Saturday for a good few days, being joined by the two daughters & their chaps on the Wednesday after...Just seen that the weather might be starting to be 'on the upturn'......Would love to know if this is the case or not?.....

Any updates would be so, so appreciated........

Well, think you might be lucky. After a terrible Easter summer seems to have arrived today. Much warmer and a forecast of a little light rain tomorrow ( Wed ) the week is due to continually improve. Sea plane out today ( Let's not do last year's jokes though !!!! ). Swallows everywhere so maybe the wet winter behind us now !!!

Great news Bonyslad!

We are arriving Saturday till Weds with our 6 month old (his second visit!) and my parents so the upturn in the weather is great news!

Glad the baby sunglasses I bought in excitment will need to be packed!

Ps. I will be holding you to this good forecast!

Thanks for that Bonys Lad.......Let's hope that Summer has arrived for everybody....Just checked out the 15 day forward forecast (you might be interested in this GemmaKate)......& it's looking quite favourable......Between 19 -23 degrees & fairly sunny.......

Glad that you mentoined the sea plane was out Bonys Lad......The missus goes into absolute raptures when she hears those engines cranking up.....It's not unknown for her to stand on the front for ages just waiting for it to fly over......

Hmmmnn..15 day forecast is what I need (thought it only did 10 days!)
A week to the hour we'll just have landed and be on our way to pick up the car!...wooo hooo!

This is all well and good, but can anyone explain why each time during the day I look at the weather at the top-left of the forum screen it always says its 61 degrees F?

Is Porta Pollensa under a hermetically sealed dome with strict temperature controls?

Please don't tell me I've booked to go to Centre Parcs!!

I think the forcast at the top left is for Palma! although I do agree it seems to be stuck at 61 F.

Maybe PP should have its own weather report......

It does change often - I think you've just been unlucky. There are links to the local forecast for Pollensa & all the areas of Mallorca on our weather page Majorca - Climate, Today's Weather & forecast which incidentally is one of the most popular pages on the main website! - sad aren't we?

Shorry my mishtake - it does actually say Palma, and now it's 63 degrees.

Looks like my dome theory was incorrect, thankfully.

Er, Hold the front page !!!! Apparently Tuesday flying was in aid of Crown Prince Philipe who flew up to PP in the Royal Family's helicopter to watch a practice air sea rescue. Sea Plane was revved up this morning in the dock but not a lot flying going on.

As they say " one swallow doesn't make a summer !!!! "

don't rely too much on the forecast, the last 3 days have shown overcast and posssibility of rain, and yet it's been sunny on each day with a very brief cloud or two. So, fingers crossed and remember Michael Fish
