We are new members of the forum. We have visited Puerto Pollensa twice now and absuolutely love it ! it gets a mention most days in our house and we would love to relocate there next year. This is a great forum and the comments I have looked at so far are really useful.

Thanks for the welcome, hopefully we will get out there this year on holiday too, we first visited Puerto Pollensa in 2009 and went back last year its just so calm and scenic and we love to visit other parts of the island also such as Soller and Formentor. So glad we have now found this forum it makes us feel closer to PP!!

Hello! Coming to Puerto Pollensa in 2 weeks!

Hi everyone,

My name is Richard, I'm coming to Puerto Pollensa with my family (my wife and two young children) in a couple of weeks' time. I'm really looking forward to it and was very pleased to find this forum as it's already been very helpful. We're only staying for a week this time but have never been to the Northern part of Majorca before (stayed in the South before but I figured that Puerto Pollensa looks more suitable now I have kids).

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for all the great information on here from all of you - I know it will enable me to get the most out of my limited time in Majorca.

PP4me, we always go to Tango on the first evening, a family tradition that has gone on for about 20 years now, always assured of a warm welcome from Manolo etc, it feels like the offical start to the holiday. The foods not bad either. Afterwards a wander round a couple of bars and if still feeling lively after an early flight on to Chivas.

It all looks very complicated to a non-tekkie like me but having gained so much information-and a few laughs-from the site I thought it was time I joined in.

I have been lurking around this forum for months.About 22 years ago I stayed in Alcudia at the Delfin Azul hotel situated on the main Alcudia road,I absolutely hated it.One day we caught the bus up to Peurto Pollensa,knowing nothing about the place,getting off at the port.It was so quiet and beautiful we were hooked straight away,we have returned almost every year since,sometimes twice a year.It almost is like home,we have made many friends and every visit my 18 year old son still meets up with kids he met years ago .
