If I ever get tempted by their seemingly low rates ever again i'll remember that, thanks.
I stopped using them in July 2009 when they left us stranded at Palma without a car because they had taken more bookings than they had cars!

Are there any car hire firms which we can use where we pick up a car in PP or get one delivered to our apartment in PP instead of picking up from airport.

Try Vanrell. Their main base is 10 minutes away in Alcudia, but they have a few offices on the island. They will certainly deliver or you could collect locally.

They have a "replace the fuel that you use policy", so no need to buy a tank of fuel either.
