Accommodation June 2011

Hi - just booked my flights for my 5th visit back. I can't believe how much accommodation has gone up for this coming season.
I like the location of the Hobby Club because I love the beach and it is right across the road but they are looking for over Euor 1000 for 11 nights. I've had a good search through the private apts here but I'm looking for locals advice here - does anyone know of any nice 1 bed apts very near the beach. Thanks

You'll find whats available, Try the South Sandy Beach Area, Pinaret is a good area, LLenaire is good also but a bit further out of the Port and therefore quieter.

I'm afraid if you want a view of the beech this will cost you! Remember this is only nice when you are at the apartment!!

1000 euros for 11 nights sounds ok to me.

We paid 125 Euros per night for one bedroom apartment right on the front line of Alcudia beach this year in August.

Hi Bannergal - would take a look at "Before you Go" - hotels and aparthotels/ sunshine.co.uk - prices seem quite reasonable for 11 nights.

Alternatively as GL suggested "Private Apartments" - South Sandy Beach. Las Mimosas or Los Cedros apartments with 1/2 beds seem cheaper than the Hobby Club and are very close to the beach.

As suggested above, do try the search with Sunshine on Hotels, Apartments - Puerto Pollensa or look at Rent Villas Apartments in Puerto Pollensa, put your dates in and select 'South, Sandy Beach' area. Most of the properties have a location map so that you can see where they are,

Hi Bannergal
Stick to a private apartment in the Pinaret area via this web site and you won't go wrong.
We've used various owners over the last 15 or so years and have never had any problems. About 3 visits ago we found our perfect apartment, although it's really too big for us with 3 bedrooms. The spare bedrooms are ideal for dumping the luggage, ironing etc.
Have a look at Loscedros7 on the South Sandy Beach section. We've used it and it's first class. Has everything you'll need for your holiday, plus it has Spanish families residing in the block, adding to the atmosphere of the place.

I found a great 2 bed apartment through Private Villas/Apartments, called Normas. Have stayed there 3 times now,it's near the square, just behind the church. Short walk to beach, shops etc. I have already booked for next year, and have just checked the availability for June. The first 3 weeks look free.
