April in CSVicente

Hi
Not sure if I have made right choice have booked to stay in Cala San Vicente in April. I know its quiet in summer just didn't occur to me that bars restaurants shops etc might not be open at that time. We particularly enjoy going to the Majorca bar , Pepe's and Tomas's café. Can anyone advise? Of course we will be visiting Pollensa, but just wanted to make sure there is something local.
Does anyone live in the area who can let us know?

Hi Francesca,

We've been in February and March/April time and Bar Mallorca is always open. Pepes bar (upstairs) has also been open both Feb and Easter. We love them both, although we stay in PP. We have noticed that many bars/restaurants start to open at Easter so you should be OK.

Thanks for that. I do love S.Vicente but never been this early and it is quiet at the best of times. Just wanted to ensure there would be some other inhabitants!!!

Hi Francesca,
We called in at CSV late March (1 week before schools' Easter holidays began) last year around 4:30pm & it was a ghost town. Didn't see another soul out walking & no other traffic in 1 hr. You could almost hear the tumbleweed blowing down the streets!! Hope you're going closer to Easter & that the inhabitants have come out of hibernation in time!

Remember Easter is quite late this year with Good Friday being on 18th April.

Now I'm worried! We have booked 10 days from the 8th April.

School holidays start from Monday 7th April so you have a good chance that places will be opening. As I said, Bar Mallorca has always been open when we've visited in Feb, March and April. There are lots of cyclists around at this time of year. We stay in PP and tend to visit CSV during the day so I'm not so sure what's open in the evening but I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time - it will be an adventure if nothing else!!

Please don't worry, I'm sure it will be fine. Marinas bar near Don Pedro will definitely be open then and I'm sure others will be.
