Can't help coming back to this thread and seeing if my favourites are mentioned.

One I did notice was the Mirimar Hotel .I always stop by there for a drink as I love people watching at that spot but never considered eating there . Perhaps I should give it a go next time round.

We have stayed at the Daina on a number of occassions but the evening meal does not look appetising as it's all buffet and I prefer a nice restuarant at night.

Oh I wish I was eating at Stay or La Longa tonight for the food and the views !Will just have to look at the webcam and dream on.

Cheers

Hi Marimar was good although the second time we went potatoes very over seasoned but fillet steak perfectly cooked mine medium rare and my wife had medium.
I think within 2 and 3 yrs will be seriously knocking on the door of Michelin star as could La Llonga.

Sorry I meant Stay & La Llonga could seriously achieve Michelin status.

Another update as to scores as they stand at the moment:

1st. Stay - 55 points
2nd. O'Lume - 38 points
3rd. Citrus - 30 points
Joint 4th. Ca'n Josep - 29 points
Joint 4th. La Llonja - 29 points

In all so far 60 different restaurants have been voted for.

Here are the Butler's top 5s. Jonny and I couldn't come to an agreement over a combined top 5 so here is one for each of us:

Me

1. Stay
2. Little Italy
3. Ivy Garden
4. Port 31
5. Rustic Cafe

Jonny

1. Stay
2. Dolç Sa Pobla
3. Little Italy
4. Ivy Garden
5. Port 31

Where are Dolc Sa Pobla and the Music Bar? that you earlier referred to in PP please.

Must admit I've never seen or heard of them.

I'm new to all this but think this thread is great - just spent 3 weeks in PP (coming back out on 27th Sept for a week) my top 5 restaurants are as below

1. IRU
2. Stay
3. Los Foroles
4. Ivy Garden (great value for money)
5. La Lonja

Hope to try many many more soon....

We eat out on a budget so some of these are for lunchtime.

votes for myself and two daughters:-

1: La Cabana .... love the food esp the chicken and dates

2: Stay .... can only afford lunch but the chicken and chips are lovely and fantastic value

3: La Catina 2 ... great sandwiches

4: Laguna ..... always a favourite

5: Mar Calma .... ate here twice, never busy, good value and very nice food.

Others to mention:
Enjoyed Guru and the Dragon Oriente was a great surprise, went to Cappucino for the first time for lunch which was lovely and reasonably priced, and can't leave out Bellavista for coffee :). Not so good ..... Nicos not my cup of tea and Ivy Garden maybe they were having a bad day .... but the food was not great (very oily and bland) and we were sat next to the kitchens which were very hot, won't be returning :(

that concludes the girlie vote :)

As Sparky said please keep voting, final results will be around 31st October as previous years.

MWC it might be worth holding back on the final result this year because the half term holidays are very late, actually some go into the first week in November so we may get some late votes ;):D.

Ok, we will make it mid November then, so if you have not already voted please do.

We had lots of lovely meals in September including several new restuarants. My favorites were:

1. Siruell

2. Celler La Parra

3. Nostalgia

4. Little Italy

5. Illa D'Or Terraza

We also enjoyed O'Lume, C'an Ferrar, La Cantina tapas, La Cabana and Hostel Bahia, Citrus and Nicos. Snacks at Villa Singala and the take-a-way on Formentor Road. All in all a wonderful 10 day holiday.

Favourites this year were

1 Citrus
2 Guru
3 Stay
4 Coral Bar
5 Bellavista

These are based, not only on meals & ambiance but also on the welcome afforded to a solo traveller.
I would also like to note the frienldy welcome given by the staff in Siurell when I called in for my morning lemon tea after my walk round the bay!
If anyone is considering solo travelling in Puerto Pollensa please do it. It is very safe and great fun

The following are the best restaurants that we went to on our recent holiday to the Pollensa area not including 6 great dinners and barbecues at our rented villa.

1. Font de Gall.......P
2. Numero Ocho.....P
3. La Tasca..........CSV
4. Golf Pollensa.....P( Lunch)
5. Las Brisas........PP

Also enjoyed Terrazzo ( Illa D'or) for Lunch and Hotel Miramar. Unfortunately, did not enjoy Port 31, Small portions and service not too great.
