Due to the great response in previous year's to this thread & due to the fact last year's thread was started around this time, I have decided to run this again as the best 5 restaurant's in PP this year IN YOUR OPINION. Rules as follows:

1. You must have been to the restaurants you are voting for this year (2012).

2. You must vote on 5 restaurants ONLY that are within PP.

3. Vote from 1st being the best & so on to 5th.

4. Points awarded are 5 points for first, 4 points for 2nd, 3 points for third, 2 points for fourth & 1 point for fifth.

We all like restaurants for different reasons i.e food, location, atmosphere, service etc. so please vote as you will, but keep to the rules above as to avoid confusion & watch as the voting unfolds over the coming season & year.

For anybody that is interested, previous years results as follows:

2010

1st. Stay with 50 points.
2nd. El Posito with 45 points.
3rd. O Lume with 44 points.
4th. Tango with 32 points.
5th. Can Josep with 30 points.

2011

1st. Stay 94 points.
2nd. O Lume 89 points.
3rd. El Posito 46 points.
4th. Can Josep 40 points.
5th. La Llonja 39 points.

2012

??????????????.

Just back from my usual few days with my Dad, sprucing up our place for the new season. Ate out every night (and one morning!). Great meals every time, I'm pleased to say - So:

Laguna - Great food, good prices and very friendly service.
Miguelon - AWESOME breakfast - try one, but only if you're hungry!
Citrus - First visit. Lovely people, very nice food and reasonable prices. Will return!
Naciente - Never disappoints.

Roll on the Whitsun school holidays!

Our Top 5 over Easter:D:D

O'Lume
El Posito
Ca'n Josep
Celler La Parra
Ca'n Ferra

Soon back in PP, others who have experience so far this year? :- ))

This is a very difficult decision as we enjoyed every meal and each restaurant has its own particular qualities!

But here goes:

1. Citrus ( for my perfect steak and consistently great food:))

2 Taberna del Temple (lovely setting under lemon trees and excitement of wondering if one is going to fall and where it will land:D)

3. Bella Vista (Pizze and hippy laid-backness):)

4. Trio (Great value without compromising on quality):)

5. Posito (Perfect Frito Mallorquin):)

Just bumping this thread, if you have visited PP this year do let us know what your favourites are ;) :D.

Starting to see a few more resteraunt reviews being posted lately. Please could people take a minute or so to also post their best 5 as it is very interesting for people to see & to look back over previous years results.

We were out in may, our favourite five are:

1st equal - O'Lume & Stay, both for different reasons and hard to seperate.
3rd - La Goleta
4th - Los Zarzales
5th - Tango

Back again in september so things could change.

Stay Perfect setting and food and service Has it all

El Posito like the atmosphere and the suckling pig !

Brisa Marina Good Paella and really pleasant service Found a table where we could see the football ( wish we hadnt bothered !)

Can ferra Such good value and wonderful Sole and the best chips !

Can Josep Lamb not as good as last year and no longer has music

Top 5

1) Stay
2)Citrus
3)Tribeca
4)Tolos
5)Dragon Oriente

As posted earlier in this thread, please take 2 minutes on your return home to post your 5 best restaurants, thank's.

1) Stay - though service slipped ever so slightly this time.
2) Trencadora
3) Tango
4) La Fortalesa

As for the other places we ate, it would be unfair to judge Laguna on the evening of the football final. Guru obviously popular - it was full - but not my cup of tea, I'm afraid. IRU may have been there since 1944, but we will be passing on the otherside of the street when we come back at the end of August.

Scores as they stand at the moment as follows:

1. Stay - 25 points
2. O'Lume - 17 points
3. Citrus - 12 points
4. Miguelon - 9 points
5. El Posito - 8 points

In all so far 30 different restaurant's have been voted for. Please if you have eaten out in PP this year, take two minutes to place your vote.
