Seeing as I started this thread around the same time last year, here we go again. Rules as follows:

1. You must have been to the restaurants you are voting for this year (2013).

2. You must vote on 5 restaurants ONLY that are within PP.

3. Vote from 1st being the best & so on to 5th.

4. Points awarded are 5 points for first, 4 points for 2nd, 3 points for third, 2 points for fourth & 1 point for fifth.

We all like restaurants for different reasons i.e food, location, atmosphere, service etc. so please vote as you will, but keep to the rules above as to avoid confusion & watch as the voting unfolds over the coming season & year.

For anybody that is interested, previous years results as follows:

2010

1st. Stay - 50 points
2nd. El Posito - 45 points
3rd. O’Lume - 44 points
4th. Tango - 32 points
5th. Ca’n Josep - 30 points

2011

1st. Stay - 94 points
2nd. O’Lume - 89 points
3rd. El Posito - 46 points
4th. Ca’n Josep - 40 points
5th. La Llonja - 39 points

2012

1st. Stay - 95 points
Joint 2nd. La Llonja - 48 points
Joint 2nd. O'Lume - 48 points
3rd. Citrus - 44 points
4th. Ca'n Josep - 29 points

2013

Still quite afew yet to open, so will reserve my judgement

Yes many thanks MWC it makes fascinating reading ,the nutritional intake of fellow vacationers.
You are a thoroughly good egg for taking the time & effort.

Sadly there will definitely be one change in the result this year from previous years

Yes, Thanks MWC for taking the time and effort. Always interesting, and a good guage of the best restaurants in PP from the true experts.......................... us!

Thanks MCW, Lets hope peeps stick to the rules, especially No. 1 stating that you have to have visited the restaurant THIS YEAR!! then it keeps it up to date and is not dogged by "Old" views.

Also can members only vote once!!

Looking forward to the results unfolding.:D

Good points Gordon. We start going out in May and our last visit will be November though, as I suspect is the same with a few people. So there will be a rush of results just before Christmas! ;)

Do we actually have to vote for 5? It's just that we tend to go to more restaurants in the old town than in the port - I might be hard pushed to come up with five favourites in the port (especially now O'Lume is no more!)

Kate - the Old Town (Pollensa) usually has its own list as well, so presumably everyone can vote totally separately for five in The Port (PP) and five in the old town. Just make it clear and post them separately.

Re previous list for 2010 / 2011 / 2012 : Interesting to note that only three restaurants appear in all the lists - Stay, O'Lume and C'an Joseph - and that only seven appear in the lists in total. Interesting that Citrus entered the list last year the only 'newbie'. Shame that O'Lume is no more! Will we have a totally new replacement this year?
Thanks to mwc for running things for another year.

There was a separate thread for the Town in 2011, unfortunately there were only a very few people who voted, but if someone would like to take this on please do start a separate thread :D.

I think it may have been me that tried it before and as you say not many people posted on it, we could do it again if memebers wanted to?

1. Tolos
2.
3.
4.
5.

I had friends over for a week last month and all I can say is thank god Tolos had just opened. We ate there 3 times and were delighted with the food and the service on every occasion.

We did also dine in the Luna del Miel but it doesn't warrant a place here (poor service and average food). We also went for a meal at Los Zarzales but walked out before even ordering a drink because the service was so bad. Pity, as the Sunday special menu looked great, but although this was advertised outside it wasn't offered to us...

Yes it will be interesting to see if those 3 are again in the top 5 for the 4th year in a row. Will also be interesting if Citrus keep in there, I'm sure it will as long as they are open consistently.

Were here for a few days only, mid March......I had talked to husband and friends so much about Stay, I was worried they might be disappointed. But we had a stunning Sunday lunch, great food and service, including the nice waiter who picked me up when I went my length on the glassy floor tiles!! Stupid vain high heels!

Just back from a 5 night stay in the port great time and fab weather fav restaurants were tolos and tangos and we found stay very over rated as we have done for the last 3 years.

Ours would have to be:

1. Case Vila
2. Hostel Bahia
3. La Roda

We also ate at Stay (very overrated, if people really are willing to pay so much for the view, then I suggest heading to Bahia, the view we had was amazing), Nico's (which was nice, and if pushed would be on our list), El Casinet, which was also nice (and could be 4th or 5th) but the 3 on the list were outstanding so it wouldn't be fair to put others with them, and we also had takeaways on the two rainy night's from the codfather (ok, but not the best fish and chips we have had), and Dragon oriente (quite possibly up there with the worst Chinese we have had)

So holiday nearly over, GUTTED!!

richie, I assume that means you are voting for Tolos in first place & Tango in second ?
