Best 5 Restaurant's in PP 2013

  • Start date Start date
Sorry MWC 1 tolos 2 tangos and 3 celler la parra.

1. Stay
2. Can Cuarassa
3. Grill Siurell (really good suckling pig)
4. La Lonja

Went to Stay twice, we have been visiting Pollensa/Puerto Pollensa for around thirty years and have tried many restaurants & still find Stay to be one of the best. Each to his/her own but we visited twice and the food very good on both occasions, I am amazed that people say it is over rated we do not go there for the view!

1. Siller - fantastic food, better than anywhere else in the Port, which overrides the less exciting location.
2. Stay - the MDD is amazing value and the location is second to none.
3. Brisa Marina - lovely new decor and consistently good fish/seafood.
4. Corb Mari - the new full-length windows have made the most of the sea views, and the steaks are wonderful.
5. La Roda - not glamorous, but the MDD is the best value around for only 9.50E.

We didn't get to try Los Zarzales but popped in to see Jaime - in October, if the food there is as good as it sounds, I may well be revising this list!

Corb Mari

Kate

Interested that you have voted for Corb Mari as it very rarely gets a mention. I do know that it is on the expensive side but was it worth it for a good steak in comparison to other restaurants of a similar vein.

Cheers

Scotslizzy, it seemed to be comparable with other restaurants such as La Llonja and La Fonda in the old town. The meat did seem to be of exceptional quality - really well aged, if that's what you're into - and the steaks are very large compared to other restaurants - probably big enough for two, if you weren't starving! There were cheaper/smaller options if you didn't want to pay 20E plus for a steak. I did notice that the starters and desserts were quite expensive - but this is the case elsewhere in PP. Apart from the high quality of the meat, the reason Corb has made my top 5 is the sea views, which are now superb with the addition of the full-length picture windows - which can be opened up on a hot day, so the restaurant is open to the Pine Walk. It always felt more of a winter place before...

Thanks

I think I have just been converted .I do like good quality meat and despite coming to PP for over 20 years we have never eaten there.

2. Osteria No. 15 (strangely no reviews for this one yet!!)
3. Nicos (consistently good food, especially the Utah Steak)
4. Brisa Marina
5. Nostalgia

BigErn, great minds.......

1) Casa Vila. Amazing food, beautiful decor and the best service ever.

2) Osteria 15. Another great addition to the Port and especially the square.

3) Little Italy. The best bowl of pasta and wonderful service from all the guys

Can't do 5 PP restaurants as we ate more in the Old Town this trip. We also didn't go to my usual No 1 Stay either....so could be a completely different vote come June!
