The top five restuarants during our holiday in July were,

La Llonja
Club Nautic
Swing
Centric
Casa Vila

Just squeezing in our July top five:

Na Ruixa : First visit for many years - why have we walked past it more or less each evening on our way to another establishments? Top notch presentation of the tables and service. he food was excellent also. Fillet steak to die for. Only gliche was when I asked for a half bottle of red and I was politely advised that it was not available, but I could have a full size bottle for the same price. Would that be alright? :D Bring it on!! (very good it was, too)

Stay : Meal of the Day. The usual overall good experience. The food, the location, the sevice, the crisp table cloths and shiny eating irons. And the owner asking if everything was ok - and meaning it. Not the biggest portions on MOD but as a whole, an event not to be missed.

Coral : Luckily the shoulder of lamb was up on the unchanging special board :) excellent as always. Friendly service as always. Always a pleasure to dine here.

Can Ferra : first visit (followed by a second) - dated interior (and I don't mean that in a negative way) but yum yum food, particularly the fish. Either the fish was too big or the plate was too small.

Laroc : Great Italian dishes from a genuine Italian restaurant.

No room for some old favourites but that's the price you pay for deciding to try some new eateries.

An honourable mention for Tango and a disappointing mention for Laguna. Hope the new management gets sorted out as the season progresses. Will certainly give Miguel another go on our October visit, though may pick something other than the rubber chicken at 15 euros.:(

Now for the 'pub with no name' - such a good time forgotten the name. Here it is - http://goo.gl/maps/44tKN next to Bar Junior on Carrer Almirall Cervera. Good unpretentious food - big:eek: pamboli and lots of local colour (meant in the nicest way). The barman from last seasons Laguna overseeing things. Very welcoming. Down to be visited again in October.

Have always walked past Na Ruixa too believing it to be very expensive.....don't think we've even had a look at the menu despite having stayed in that area a number of years ago........another one for October perhaps. Think we'll need to stay for 3 weeks to try all these places we want to try;)

PS Always walked past Laroc and Coral too for what reasons I don't know;)

Clinkham it's called "Can Tofol" ;):).

RDA - I had a really excellent meal in Na Ruixa in June this year after walking past for many years.
It didn't work out particularly expensive (what is expensive these days??) and was certainly very good value for money. Far better menu / food than in several of the so called 'in' restaurants some people regularly talk about ('advertise'?) on this forum.

We will certainly have a look at it when we are out again in October.:)

1 El Posito
2 La Cabana
3 Cella de Parra
4 El Bistro

This year Jonny and I agreed on our top 5 so just one set from us this year. We ate in on our balcony a couple of nights and also went on the Ruta so only ate out in 4 restaurants. Only 3 of them have made it into our top 5.

1. Stay - a wonderful meal, great value for the quality of the food, wine, brandy, location and peerless service.

2. Laroc - fantastic pizzas in a good location with great service

3. Little Italy - very good food in possibly the best location in PP but service was too rushed. Pizza not quite as nice as Laroc but still lovely

4. Dolç Sa Pobla - a cafe, not a restaurant, but the food and service with a smile is fab. We were welcomed as old friends when we arrived on our first day.

5. Music Bar - a bar, not a restaurant, but the food here was lovely

Was really disappointed with Trio. Was great value but food on the whole was ordinary.

Only just getting around to my June/July top 5.

They are:

1) La Llonja

2) Club Nautic

3) Centric

4) Casa Vila

5) Swing

After much debate.

1.Siller, the food here is miles ahead of everywhere,Manolo & his wife continue to provide some of the best food on the Island.
2.La Llonja, the consistency is excellent.
3.El Posito, fantastic home cooked food served with a smile ,their MDD is excellent value.
4.Stay
5.Can Josep, a new entry for us .

Disappointed in Centric & Na Ruixa.
Best Restaurants outside of the Port , Mister Green in Sa Pobla & of course Bodega Del Sol ,Alcudia.

This concludes our survey of comestible intake whilst on vacation for 6 weeks.

Top 5 restaurants,based on food,value for money,service and location:This visit.

1- Nicos. 1st class service from tall guy who served us both visits. He joked and laughed with all the diners.
Lovely table outside was really relaxing, backed up by delicious food and great value.

2- Trios. Set menu, best value for money around. We've visited every trip and never been disappointed.

3- O'Lume. The courtyard setting scores highly for me. This must be the best place for a special occassion.

4- Stay. Great location. Couldn't get waterside table this time but the food was as good as ever and we'll definitely visit
again next year.

5- Celler La Parra. Inside decor is the plus point for this restaurant. It's sometimes difficult to get an inside table.

Wife's top 5.(Hope this is allowed) We had a slight difference of opinion.

1- Stay.

2- 0'Lume.

3- Nicos.

4- Trio.

5- Celler La Parra.

Thanks for the update MWC but shouldn't it be O Lume & Trio in joint 3rd with Celler La Parra in 5th place ;);).

Mine are

Centric
Ambrosia
Nico's

The other restaurants I ate at didn't really merit a mention.

Really enjoyed the tapas menu at Centric.

Sorry for the delay in posting our top 5 restaurants from August, been back a few weeks now and work seems to have taken over my life again, hopefully they will be counted in this month. We were there with our 4 and 1 year old, so were at the restaurants early, normally the first ones, so the service was always efficient. ;o)

1 Stay
2 O’Lume
3 La Llonja
4 Hells Kitchen
5 Port 31
