Best 5 Restaurants in PP 2015

1. Torre Playa. Steak amazing, burgers fantastic and a great view.
2. Sol y Mar. IMO the menu del Dia is the best in the port.
3. Casa Vila. Great pizza and pasta well presented in a relaxing atmosphere.
4. Siurell. The chicken skewers and battered fish are well worth the short trip to Llenaire.
5. Naciente. Brilliant selection of dishes in lovely surroundings.

1. Cellar La Parra - friendly service and excellent traditional food
2. Stay - consistently good value and service in outstanding location
3. Brisa Marina - fish dishes - best we had
4. C'an Ferrar - simple traditional food cooked well (especially fish and lamb) and again very friendly service
5. Centric - a little bit different - staff very enthusiastic

Yep, its so difficult, its not just the food its the overall experience so in the end went with that, two of the top 5 were for times when we were lucky enough to eat out with the Sparkes, in fact we went to one 4 times with them and had the best times ever, so as I have said before, its not just the food, I would rather have ok food in a wonderful locations, than wonderful food in a not so good location, but each to their own!!

Well another years voting over & a total of 69 restaurants were voted for. Here are the final results for 2015.

1st. Centric - 89 points.
2nd. Stay - 85 points.
3rd. Cellar La Parra - 84 points.
4th. La Llonja - 67 points.
5th. Tango - 58 points.

All very close & for the first time we have a new winner. Only Stay has remained in the top 5 for all of the past six years voting. Also a mention for Ca'n Josep & El Posito who only just missed out on this years top 5. Again thank you to all who have taken time to vote & for those that are interested previous years results below.

To the 64 establishments that missed out on the top five places, please, don't be too disappointed.

As I said in an earlier thread I think it is almost impossible to get a bad meal in PP, with fine eateries across the whole range of venues.

Pity the poor visitor with only 14 nights to get round to all of them!

How many times do we read that 'we always go to xxxx on our first night and yyyy on our last night' In between we have to see old favourites, in many cases to revisit the staff as much as the food.
That leaves only a few nights free to explore.

The answer, I suppose, is to visit more often and stay for longer.

Now there's a thought

Yes thanks to mwc again for all the work you put in for us.
Well a new winner! I am very pleased as I voted for them, if you haven't been give them a try next time, you shouldn't be disappointed. Really pleased for the owners, I hope someone can let them know, they are genuinely so friendly and welcoming and the food is great too.
Agree with clinkham, with so many to choose from its makes it so difficult to choose where to go, so that means there are at least 69 restaurants that people have visited and taking time to give them points a to show how good they are. That goes a long way to show why we all love the place so much.

It gives us all ideas for places we havent tried We enjoyed Centric very much Stay is our number 1 partly because of the situation

We all have our favourites and it is great to have so many to chose from We always go to Playa Blanca in Lanzarote in early spring and have the oposite problem there Very few good Restaurants to chose from and also the service is never very friendly (not like PP) think it is because of their all year round tourist trade they dodnt have to try too hard !

Looking forward to 2 visits again next year to PP and see how many new ones we can try !
