OK Sparky that's agreed then - at 11.00 a.m. BST tomorrow, or whatever time it is then where you are, we will have a toast and 1 mins silence in tribute to Victor. You can say a few words afterwards if you wish (and, if you can still talk, that is!!).
However, I was thinking that instead of Woodpecker Cider, The Famous Grouse may be more appropriate!

Great news!!!!!, i emailed the BVCF this morning and have just had a reply to say that Victor is alive and doing very well, their exact word was phenomenal. However the webcam has been damaged and that is why it's offline but should be back on in a few days .

Where on earth did he get to then I wonder. The last time I looked was just before it got dark last night and he definitely wasn't in the nest, and Mum was just standing there looking a bit ....anxious (?)

I'm with you Rosie and slightly confused about it all. That chick was definitely out of the nest for a long time. Unless the people who run the place were concerned and went in and rescued him as they could see he was unwell. Can't wait for the webcam to resume
