Hi can anyone give an update on Brisa marina refurb think they should be reopening soon following winter break and just wondered how things were looking cant wait til March to see for ourselves thanks

Yes i spoke to the owner last week in El Posito and he said it will re-open late Feb early March .

That would be a spectacular turnaround if open end of Feb sparks, were still knocking walls down when we left on 30th Dec

Gers, you would be surprised at how quickly these guys work, i remember someone saying there was no way Casa Vila would be open in time for Sant Antoni (mid Jan) and that place opened mid December .

The side door had been left open yesterday (the old Bona Cepa) and it looks more or less complete, very big kitchen and all the walls knocked through and plastering all finished, new tiled floors. The outside has been completed also with new doors and the wall between the two removed and the floor levels are now the same. It remains to be seen whether they have also acquired the balcony above which would make a nice spot for an evening meal, overlooking the bay. So all in all looks set to open on time..

Very true Sparky! A good few years ago i was there at this time, the Miramar frontage was demolished to make bigger rooms, looked to me as if it would take years to restore, but when i returned in June it had all been completed, you'd never have known it had been touched.

Hi Sparks,,,, They promised me last year that it would be done so that they would be open as normal. I've worked myself up on that prospect so any other scenario will send me into deep depression. I'll sit on the step and refuse to move untill they let me in lol
