Burger King has closed down for good, many local families will miss it.

Yes there is space and a place for all varieties of food to satisfy all palates and budgets.

Nick, there is some truth in your statement.

In my humble opinion the BK burgers are ( were ) far superior, and less than half the price than those served at Tolo's. Icecream as well.

I hope something similar opens there as they provided what many would call an essential service to the local community, especially during the winter months.

So did Whimpys during my misguided youth !

People who live there part of the year and of course local people have different needs to visitors When we are on holiday we enjoy all the good Restaurants PP has to offer but that is for a few weeks at a time so if it were "home" to us we would have takeaways and cheaper meals as well

Still think the best Burger and Chips are Tiberi !

You may be in luck. I noticed last week that the old Codfather restaurant now has signage as being a kebab restaurant?
No further info at this time as it wasn't open.

Let´s hope the new season will solve their problem, although it is becoming extremely difficult to find a 12 month job like they presumably had.

Apparently McDonalds only open branches where there is a fixed population (except for shopping centers ) of 50.000 people and above, so that rules out Pollensa.

Nick said that there was a notice outside the old Codfather (now Llevant) about a kebab place, Colin is going to check it out tomorrow (weather permitting) but have heard nothing about Tribeca changing hands .

Oops, my mistake. Marilyn is quite right it was the Tribeca restaurant and not what was the Codfather!
I couldn't see inside so no idea how advanced it is regarding opening.

I have just read that a new McDonalds has opened in Manacor and that definitely hasn't got 50.000 people.

They now always open with a drive thru.

What's the betting that Formentor rent a car won't join both properties together to make a nice big one enabling them to have one ?
