Buying an apartment

Hi new to the Forum, love PP, been out several times and now looking to come out at the beginning of July and look at a few Apartments with a view to buying something to spend more time away from the UK weather. Anybody any tips or areas to avoid, also any Solicitors to do conveyancing who come recommended.
