Sad to report that Toni the owner of Bodega Can Ferra has sold up and new owners will be reopening in April

Can Ferra has been our first port of call when ever we visit the town and over 30 odd years we have enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere of this long established restaurant.
.

I was hoping not to read this news, looking at the title I thought surely not. Been going since 1985 when Madre and Padre were in charge, second generation I think at that stage. I wish Tony and his family a happy future whatever that may be. Also hoping a local is taking over. Salud Tony. Best Tumbet in the Port.

Sorry can't find edit button. At last found! Easy when you do find it. Would be better visible like the old site, time for an update.

Can Ferra has been sold to some of the staff from Tierra del Fuego

Loved it...Loved the Sole/Entrecot/Chicken and their peppercorn sauce was delicious. Tony was an absolute gent - i know he considered finishing a couple of years ago, but put it off. Any idea what he's doing....too young to retire? Lovely man.

I think their marketing is very naughty - using the 1958 opening date as if they are still the same people!

Just to add.... some years ago Toni acquired the old fishmongers next door which was mainly used as a store room. The new owners have renovated it and it is running as a takeaway.
