Well, we've finally signed on the dotted line and own our apartment in PP. We bought if furnished from another English couple, and while there is a lot of stuff we like and can use, there is also alot of stuff we don't. Nothing wrong with it, it's just not our style.

Do people do the equivalent of car-boot sales out in Mallorca, or is there some other way to move it on?

Hi MoMike

I'm in the same boat as you. The apartment is very well furnished, but not to my taste, which is why I queried where the local refuse tip is. If you resort to just throwing things away, the thread is somewhere below with directions! (Sorry, I'm not too sure how to attach a link to it!)

We were also in the same boat when we bought our apartment a couple of years ago that it was furnished but not to our taste. Our property agent took unwanted things to the salvation army.

I'm sure there was a thread ages ago about a second hand furniture shop in the Port.I think they collect any items from you which would be very handy regards sofas and beds etc.Does anyone know where abouts it is?

Hi MoMike

I have sent an email to your ezbox with details & phone numbers of a guy who does House Clearances in Pto. Also I believe that the Jolly Roger Bar in Alcudia have carboot sales every Saturday but don't think they start until end October.

Good luck.

Hi Debz

I think the second hand furniture shop is called Lovejoys, and its on Calle V Buades (the same road as the police station), somewhere near the road El Posito is on. I've never been in but, as you say, I'm sure there is a post on this somewhere!
