Car Hire Recommendations for Collection from Palma Airport

We are looking to hire a car for August for one week.

We went with Sixt last time and got a really good deal. This year they have doubled in price.

Can anyone recommend who is doing this years best deals for cars that are road worthy!

Best to get a check price from somewhere like moneysupermarket.com and work from there. From memory there are 8 firms actually based at the airport .... Avis, Rekord, Sixt, National Europcar, Hertz, Centauro, Crown (Auriga) + one I forgot! There are a few firms which operate out of the car park (particularly for returns) such as Terry's/Hasso/Hiper.

"Sun Properties" suggestion is a good one that I use. I also "Google", "cheap car hire Mallorca". Just spend a few minutes sorting through them, it is worth while financially.

Also bear in mind that as always you get what you pay for. I've recently had a couple of good deals with "Record". Car is perfectly roadworthy but will have done a lot of miles, have a bit of wear and tear and you might want to purchase an air freshner !!!

I recommend "Vanrell" who advertise on this site.

They are based in Alcudia but provide an airport collection/drop off service at no extra cost. We found it faster than queuing at the desks. The Man waits at the collection point, fill in the paperwork, and go to floor four of the multistorey and there you are! Good old fashioned service, empty to empty fuel policy, (you get a bit!) And assurance that if car was to break down the company is only in Alcudia not Palma! We have used them twice and had no concerns. You have to pay to get out of the sar park but it was less than one euro!

We usually go through Do You Spain and the last 3 times have had a car from Record which is on site and worked out cheaper than booking with Record direct.
