Hi, We are due to hit the airport at around 11.00 am on a Saturday in July. I have been looking at the Posts and it would seem the main issue with car hire is the que at the hire desks and the on/off site location. Hertz and Avis would probably be best for service, but so expensve. Any ideas which of the others would be worth trying would prefer on site location. Do u spain good price, but no idea who they use? Any help would be welcome.

We have used Do You Spain the last few years and have got the car from Record which you can find a thread all about. As for queuing it seems to be inevitable and we spilt up and 1 queues for the car and 1 for cases, which is still preferable to collecting off site to us. :)

Whenever we book a hire car, hubby who is the only driver runs ahead to join the queue. Normally by the time I have toilet stopped with the kids and claimed our luggage he has the keys and we are ready to hit the road. Bit of a scrabble but it does mean we are in PP quicker.

Many thanks. Think I will take your advice and get hubby to do the running!

But make sure he has the reservation email, credit card, driving licenses & passports (for the drivers), address of where you're staying - otherwise he has to run back to find you!

Mobile number as well, some like to have one!

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if all of the rental companies charge sky-high prices for car seats for kids or any who do 1 week rentals and let you return with a full tank. By the time we pay for two car seats and the fuel, that BARGAIN car rental is almost £300. HELP.
