Check in at Barcelona Car Ferry

As you will know Debz and I are driving down to PP this week. All the planning is going OK however I have one slight worry. All the reviews I have read on driving to PP, comment on how difficult it is to find the Balearia check in at Barcelona. Could I ask if anyone has any specific directions or tips that I can follow once in Barcelona Please ?

Hi Chels, i can't really help because it was a few years ago that we did it but there was a "Port police" type building inside the main entrance, we pulled over to ask for directions and they got a Guardia officer who spoke English to come and tell us where we had to go. I would imagine they have quite a lot of people needing help at this time of year so hopefully they are equipped to do this, do the ferry operators not give full directions and maps on their websites, that would make life a lot easier wouldn't it .

Do be careful in the ferryport, i am told the thieves are still as active as they were when we were there . Have a safe journey, i can't wait to hear all about it .

May be a little late with this info as not sure when you are leaving. I was also worried about not being able to find the ferry terminal. I obtained the post code for the terminal and programmed that into the satnav, it may just have been good luck but it took us straight to the front of the building.

Thanks Folks. I'm sure we will be fine. All set for tomorrow morning and our first stop in France at Saumur. Weather has been fab here today but I won't be sorry to see the back of blighty , apparently its getting colder again later in the week !!
