Dining table

Does anyone know of a local craftsman who might be able to make a large wooden dining table (to seat 10), of a simple, rustic design and at a relatively reasonable cost? The ones that are commercially available tend not to be big enough, or they are the extendable variety with an extra leaf in the middle - whereas we want one that isn't extendable.

We have used Vallori in the past to make us furniture but they are on the expensive side. Any suggestions would be very welcome!

Try the Car boot sale at Concell on a Sunday a number of furniture stalls with doors windows and tables if you dont see what you want ask specially the Guy who sells the Old doors and windows at the end of the second Isle he gets lots of stuff. And they will all deliver Or look on Segundamando the second hand site bet you will find what you want. Save some money and get a great peace of furniture

Kate,we had a similar need a few years ago,however we settled for a chunky handmade metal one with a thick plate glass top.It fitted in with the black metal work you see in lots a mallorcan design. The blacksmith who made ours still trades in Pollenca and he had an extensive book of designs.Can give you more details if you dont find the timber one prefer.He also made our chairs to match!

Jonquet - yes please! - also we need two tables, one for a terrace which should really be made of metal work with a marble top. Can you PM me the details as this sounds exactly what we are looking for?
