Has anybody used the Car Hire service offered by EasyJet at www.easyrentacar.com ? We are visiting again in October & the rate of £8.40 looks very good even if you have to go off site at Palma airport. Any feedback appreciated.

I have just used Easy Carental and......

It was very good.
They have a large depot off site about a mile away, a shuttle bus comes around the back of the municipal bus stop to pick up and drop off. The municipal bus stop is at the end and to the right of the big covered walkway when you come out of the airport building.
The car was fine there are 5 of us two adults and three children, the rear seats move forward giving more luggage space (and less leg space), for the journey to and from the airport.
The depot is near the Coca Cola factory near a huge supermarket.
They are dead hot on the car being returned full and charge a premium rate to your credit card if they have to top it up......make sure its full or as full as possible.
There are British assistants at the depot and the checking procedure is quite slick. Make sure you leave plenty of time for finding the depot on your return, its easy to get lost particularly in the dark.
I will be using it again.

EasyCar now charge in Euros

We have now used www.easycar.com twice. The first time we were mislead by the instructions & didn't realise the shuttle bus is between the taxi rank & the normal multi-story carpark where you collect other hire cars. Although the web site said bus every 20 mins, there they say it is every 30 mins & we waited 40 mins. When it arrived there were not enough seats for everyone & several had already taken taxis.

Second time, we knew the ropes & ran to get a bus just leaving. We were also very thorough about pointing out existing scratches etc.

In Oct it worked out about £10.70 a day (we chose to pay the extra insurance), in Dec £9.50 a day - not bad at all.

I have just investigated prices for Feb & 7 days will cost EUR135.60 = £86 or £12.28 a day - costs appear to have risen. They are also now charging in Euros which can be confusing if you're not expecting it & you will have to wait for your credit card bill to see the exact cost.
