Hi

We are coming to PP at the end of June for our first holiday since our twins were born. They will be 13 months old.

My question is are there places to buy nappies, wipes and formula in PP? I will take a few days supply with me but wanted to get the rest when I arrive.

I use pampers baby dry nappies and cow and gate formula.

Many thanks x:)

Hi ShelleyG and welcome to the forum.
All the things you require are readily available here although they often have a different name, for example Pampers are called Dodot and i think C[/B]&G formula is called Almiron, there is info on this link http://www.forum.puertopollensa.com/shopping/7175-baby-food.html.
The British Food Shop definitely sell these items and i think the pharmacies and supermarkets do as well, do have a look at this link Puerto Pollensa, Mallorca Majorca - Shops, Markets :).

Hi,

Have travelled to PP frequently with my children since very young and you can get all your supplies easily over there.

As Sparky says, pampers are Dodots across there. The large Eroski sells the large 100 nappy packs which would be ideal as work out cheaper than the smaller packs. If you really want to stick with branded pampers you can get these in the pharmacy or the Spar shops often have them.

With baby milk i have always bought mine over there. As your twins will be 13 months they may be on fresh milk by then and the only thing i would say is don't bulk buy fresh milk just buy as you need as my experience is it doesn't last as long over there.

If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask.

Star.

Yes, everything is widely available - apart from nappy sacks for some reason, which I could never find (although my twins are nearly ten now so things may well have changed!) I agree that fresh milk doesn't last very long and for that reason I always buy UHT milk in PP - I'm not aware that it's unsafe to give it to children and it lasts much longer. The other thing I bought was two lightweight folding pushchairs rather than our normal enormous twin-sized one I discovered on our first holiday with the twins that the twin buggy simply didn't fit into many restaurants, and as restaurant highchairs hardly ever had harnesses the children had to sit at the table in their buggy until they could be trusted not to fall out. So harnesses would be another sensible thing to take. Be aware also that supermarket trolleys often don't have child seats - never did work out a way round this one...
