My brother and his family are planning on staying in PP during August, they are on a very limited budget and have found a really good deal for half board at the Flora. Anyone know what the food is like, appreciate that this may be the wrong place for this thread but would appreciate any feedback. Thanks

I don't have experience of the food at the flora but before they book half board I think they may need to calculate how much exptra they are paying

Trio is right oposite the Flora and they do a menu of the day with about 8 choices of starter mains and deserts plus half a bottle of good quality wine or a pint or a soft drink for 16euros and depending upon the age of the children they will serve them a starter as a main course or they also have some child meals

Trio isn't the only place with mdd's for this sort of price but I mention it because the quality is good and it is so local to the Flora

So I would say, if he is being charged more than 16euros each per day for half board then I woudn't bother .................... if on the other hand the Half board option is really cheap ( like say only an additional 10euros a day ) then why not go for it and if its not that great he will always have the option of going to Trio on a couple of occasions without it breaking the bank.

The Flora has a good reputation so I am sure the food will be at least so it won;t be money wasted

I would recommend the Flora Apts to anyone, the place is always spotless and the staff are very friendly. I would agree with CD though about weighing up the options of whether to go half board or not as there are so many restaurants to choose from at very reasonable prices.

Thanks for the info guys, after serious consideration my brother has decided to book the Pollensa Park (half board), I am sure that once there he will regret this decision but you can't convert everybody! Thanks again:)

I honestly don't think there is anything wrong with the food at the Pollensa Park Hotel. When we used to come for our hols we rented privately across the road and always went there for dinner on one of our nights, it was €15 per person and we ate as much as we wanted. The staff are really friendly and very efficient :D
