I have to confess that I have been viewing this site for weeks and have not plucked up the courage to join! I also have a quick look last year. At last my conscience has got the better of me and I feel that I should join in.

I find the comments really useful and I'm gradually forming an itinerary of restaurants to visit when I come out with hubby and son(7yrs) on the 25th July for 2 weeks. We came out to Puerto Pollensa last year in July so now when I read all the views I have a much better idea about where people are referring to.

For any people planning a visit I would definitely recommend visiting the old town of pollensa whilst staying in the resort. We went up there last year at the end of our holiday, on the local bus (really cheap), and then caught a taxi back down. It is really atmospheric and provides another aspect to your trip. There are some lovely restaurants and shops and it is just great to saunter around after eating.

Hi Deb - glad you have joined us. You should come see us in the Tapas Bar too!

I love the old town. I suggest that when you are next in PP you get the bus into Alcudia town one day for a walk around there too. It is really pretty and not far.

Hi Lala...Is it obvious where to get on and off buses?

Yes Deb - you get the bus from the stance just next to the taxi rank and it goes right along the water. When you get to Alcudia the bus stops at the car park and you can see the Roman walls on your left. You can't miss it. You want the town not Puerto which is just a big resort.
