general drink prices please

Hi its been about 8 years since we have been to the Port or even abroad so have no idea how much to budget for drinks. Just what can we expect to pay for coffee/a beer/soft drinks for kids and for me a Benjamin! We fly out on the 15th July and are counting the days! Can you recommend some good cafes here we can get good value snacks for 5 of us? Muchas gracias!!

Price will vary quite a bit depending on where you go but as a general guide-
Coffee around €1-€1.50. Quite a few places will offer coffee & a cake for around €3.50.
Beer - Caña €1.50ish / Pint €2.50-€3.50. Obviously cheaper in the local bars further away from the beach.... and quite often you'll get a small free tapa too. (El Meson, La Bodeguita, Ca'n Tofol, Juniors all do this and probably some others too).
Soft Drinks...... sorry can't help you there

The first time I had a Benjamin was in Aug 1987, Manolo (from Tangos) and his brother Vicente used to slide one down the bar when I walked in the door! Happy Days!

I've never been but Max's Cafe had a sign up advertising Pints for €2.50

I am sure there are numerous places away from the front that you can get a pint for 2.50 but it will be my challenge on the next trip to find them all (That's not a confused emoticon - it's a dizzy one!!)

Yeah, you can get that view and similar service at various places nearby ..... but for a more reasonable price.

€27.90 for 3 large beers 3 small beers. Chicken baguette and Spanish omelette. Staff are great. Will be back here....Joker Bar

TOTS. 2.80 a pint. And Mahou beer!!. Glass of wine 2 euros. Food is good too. Go on give it a try......

Whilst on the subject of beer, for those of you that enjoy a beer on your apartment balcony I recommend the Spar own brand beer in a brown bottle with a green label. From someone that only ever drinks San Miguel that is a glowing reference.
