This holiday we had quite a few nights 'in' & had take-aways, bbqs etc.
I would recommend the Golden Lion for rotisserie chicken ( fed 6 of us for 28 euros) just add salad, beer & wine!
Also a visit to Ensenat deli in Pollensa for great ready prepared food, bbq meats (sausages are excellent) & general supplies which are sometimes cheaper than the supermarkets. And of course, their fantastic wine selection, breads,olives....
Ask at the meat counter in the supermarkets to recommend meats for bbq. They prapared a whole rabbit for us into bbq friendly pieces that were then wrapped in foil & slung on the barbie.

Eating out.
Pine walk was very busy each night we ventured along there. We failed to get in Little Italy & you must book in advance. We did book at Pescadores which was excellent as usual, very friendly staff. Also went to Na Riuxa, good but maybe a bit overpriced.Had snacks for a couple of lunch times at Tamarells & El Ancla. Llenaire restaurant was busy every night we passed. Had a blindmans Paella & lamb chops there, can't fault it, nice people. Doing a roaring trade this year!
I think that one of my favourite meals was at Corb Mari Bistro. Again it was packed & waiter apologised before we ordered if service was slow as kitchen was so busy. Didn't mind as lovely spot to watch the world go by. Food was great, please try the pork kebab, lovely!

All in all, we had a great time as usual. We did notice the prices & spent more than previously, but boat trips, sunbeds etc. are more or less the same prices.
We will be back!!

Hi cheryllb.

Sounds like you had a great holiday. I'm enjoying your reviews. I think we overlapped a week - wasn't it hot?? I'm sorry we didn't get to try the Corb Mari bistro, but we never manage to get round to trying all the ones we'd like. My sister and her family ate there last Friday night, watched closely by me on the webcam, and said the same as you - service very slow but food good.

We also failed to get into Little Italy, even though we tried to book earlier in the day. Maybe because there were 9 of us, but as you say, the Pine Walk area was very busy and it really is advisable to book tables in the most popular places at this time of year. We will also be back.

Linda

Thanks Linda. We didn't go to half the places I had planned to visit for various reasons but we'll just have to go again!! Too many restaurants, too little time!
Yes it was hot but not quite as muggy in the evenings, I thought, but was that me?
