I've not seen this mentioned on here before but while researching my next trip to PP I have noticed that Google Street View now includes PP. I have just spent a very pleasurable 30 minutes "walking" around PP using Street View.

For those of you who have never used Street View before click here to go to PP on Google Maps. Click on the pink "A" and then click on Street View. You should now be "standing" on the roundabout next to the Marina and bus stop. You can explore by clicking the arrows on the screen. Enjoy!

Brilliant Simon thank you, i have just zoomed in on my balcony, could see my window boxes and weather station :D.

Thanks Simon, I think, I have just virtually walked down to the beach from the apartment we stayed in last week the way we did everyday, now I want to go back :-(

Oh no! That is just terrible!!! Have just wandered down the roads and looked out to the sea by the apartment too! How on earth will we all survive now with virtual walks available to tease us!

Love it! Thanks Simon!

Many thanks, Simon. Had a good peek around yesterday evening.

Even harder to wait another 6 weeks. Had a look at Bellavista too, so I know where to go.

OMG, this is so addictive!!! Just been over the hill to Formentor Beach. Checked our Hotel Villa Singala - Josep won't be happy - shows the builders hard at work with scaffolding up Their work has made great improvement to the hotel, but prospective new customers will jump on Street View and just see the builders - not really the impression you would want to give.

A screen capture that shows how to get the direct link:

1. Click the chain logo
2. Copy the code from the top link.

Paste it into a forum post :)

Excuse my very basic photoshop skills...

Thanks Simon.

Just done the walk from appartment to beach, this is going to keep me occupied til we get there in 3 weeks!! :)

Fantastic!!

They even went up our Calle. I can't quite see our balconies, but it's close enough.

Walked down to the beach on it at the weekend, and then all fell about laughing at a local builder stood on step ladders on his van roof fixing a sign above a shop :)

Glad you all liked exploring PP from your computers! Sorry it doesn't work for iPads clinkham.

Thanks for the screeenshot and instructions Mark. I was aware of the link button but in Firefox 5 the link button seems to have vanished since Google's redesign last week - there is only the print button and the send button, no link button. In IE I now see that the link button is there but it's still missing from FF5, which is very strange. Must be something to do with Firefox 5 being a beta release.

As I was sharing street view at lunchtime at work and so I was in a rush I did the best I could. I spent 5 minutes reloading the page hoping to find the link button but I couldn't find it. Didn't have time to launch IE (it takes 5 mins to load so i don't use it unless I have to!).

iPad may be a disappointment, but Streetview using Firefox 5 on my PC has a working link button.

I've been driving up and down the seafront a few times, even visited old town Pollenca - and didn't spend anything on fuel!!! Well, I did open a bottle of San Miguel when I stopped in the square. Nice one, Simon. Now then, where to go tomorrow?
