i really hope the Eolo is not closed!
my mum and her friend have booked to stay there, they arrive on Friday 27th April for 3 weeks!
oh dear.
does anyone have an update please?

Oh dear. Am afraid I have no definite information but it wasn't open when I left on Tuesday & their website has not been accessible but it is again now! So do try emailing recepcio@hoteleolo.com. I would suggest that your Mum contacts whoever she booked through to check. You could also send a message to 'Carlos' on this forum as he used to work there on reception.

I have just tried phoning them and got a high pitched hooting sound, a couple of weeks ago the phone was ringing but nobody answered .

On the Sunmasters holiday web site they are still taking bookings for the Eolo

yeah, i know, mum booked through alpharooms, so presumbly they will put her somewhere else if the Eolo doesn't open!

CD thanks for the info, can you remember the name of the connection?. :)

Sorry I can't my phone automatically connected .... Probably coz I had used it the previous time I was over .... Back end of may so will check then

If the Wifi is provided through the phone line it will no longer be available, i have tried phoning them again and the line is obviously disconnected :(.

Hi. its our first time on the forum. but we just had to comment about the Eolo, we have been going to the Eolo for years and consider Carlos a friend, and also Susan on reception who is lovely,
We have just come back from an Easter break at the port( we stayed at the Daina) we asked various people if the knew what the situation was but got mixed replies, the are opening late or they have gone under, no one was sure.
We really do hope that they have not closed, all the staff have been so friendly and kind to us over the years.

I would suggest that she contacts Alpharooms as soon as possible, if she hasn't already, we still have no definite news on what is happening there.

I have now heard from several staff members who all say they have been told they no longer have a job at the hotel :(.

hotel eolo

That is such sad news,we feel so sorry for all our friends who worked there.
Another piece of old puerto pollensa gone :(

i hope all that have booked at the Eolo find alternative accommodation, and enjoy their holidays, however i do think that they have had a lucky escape !!
we unfortunately stayed at the Eolo in october 2010 for 2 weeks, it was the worst place i ever stayed. it was extremely noisy, the noise from all the bars below echoed throughout the hotel, not to mention, the early morning rubbish and bottle bank clearance . Also the walls were so thin i could hear the guy in the next room snoring so loud, it sounded like he in my room !!! we could make out everything they did in the rooms surrounding ours !!
i can honestly say i did not sleep for 2 weeks( only on the beach !)
i must say the staff were excellent, and hope they find work soon, as they all worked hard and were friendly and helpful.

Eolo restaurant open ,and signs of life e.g tables and chairs on some balconies. ???

Eolo Pizzeria

Yes, spotted that yesterday as well.
Didn't have time to go to investigate though. Hopefully a good sign though. :)

Brilliant......fingers crossed for some good news. Keep us posted please.

Have tried to ring them again this morning and the phone is still disconnected .

Definitely people staying as I stood and watched a girl brushing her hair on the balcony while waiting for a lift!!

I was thinking more along the lines of how your lift collects you from the balcony ???!!!

Gyrocopter or something ?!

; - )
