Can you tell me how to search for the Flora on Facebook as I can't find it?? Thanks

The photographs of the Flora look great....not sure how long the furniture and fittings will last though. They look very modern and shall I say "flimsy";)
Is the refurbishment due to be completed before they open in April/May.

The Flora is a great friendly hotel in an excellent position. The facelift does it credit and I hope they get all the rooms done and do well. Good luck.

Thanks Marilyn, they look fab. We arrive on the 1st April so hopefully finished by then

We are staying opposite the Flora at that time so will try to get a peek inside one. Might bump into you.

I stayed in Playa Mar for the last two years at the end of September, it was very clean and the second time the rooms have been refurbished. The first time was a late booking. We asked for and got on both occasions a quieter room facing away from the pool. First time overlooking the miltery base and last year the opposite side facing the mountains. We didn`t stay there much, just used it as a base, and walked into town twice a day, swimming from the last little cove close to the hotel was good, the pool in the hotel was freezing. I want to go back to PP again this year and am looking to go earlier, it`s just quite a problem finding somewhere else that end of the town.
You can take or leave the entertainment , we left it !!!!!

Loads of private apartments at the playa mar end

Or if you are set on staying in a hotel depending on jow deep your pockets are there is the Illa D'Or or La Singala

I imagine Playa Mar experience in late sept would be quite different from that you would get in July and August

Yes, Playa Mar was quiet (ish) in Sept, but still quite pricey, in 2011 we had a fantastic bargain at £424 for 2 people in a 1 bed apt , 8 - 18 Oct. The weather was amazing. Last year we went two weeks earlier and payed more than double, it`s hit and miss really.

My pockets are a bit shallow, and after stopping for a G@T:eek: at the Illa D`Or, I don`t think I would stay there. I looked at Singala, but it seems to be B&B, where as I like the freedom to do what I like ( Gordons on ice on the balcony) after an early evening snack and getting ready to go out Also my husband doesn`t do breakfasts , so I`m usually down on my own .
The properties in the link seems to be OK, time for a good look I think.
