How to sell without an agent

We did place an ad in Sunday Times just after Christmas. I think it cost about £100 for something that was quite small. We didn't receive any response but was probably worth a try. Actually I have the times this morning and have just looked at the overseas property for sale page. It is very surprising as there are very few properties generally. Perhaps an indication that the world has moved on from hard copy advertising to web.

... I heard today that Pedro Mesquida are the latest to 'go down'- ...

This is a bit sad for me. We bought our apartment with them. They (well, Anja who we dealt with) were attentive, charming and efficient.

I have been told that Tina who was the main partner retired a few years ago and left the running of the office to her daughter Louisa and a couple of others Anya and Alex. This was at the same time that Pedro Mesquia in the Palma office retired.
About 18 months ago Louisa took over the office and worked alone. The other members of staff moved on. The office moved about a year or so ago from the seafront to the 'main agency strip', where Louisa worked part time alone. From information I have received Pedro Mesquida have shut shop but immediate outstanding business i.e. sales in progress - work is continuing from home.

Selling Without an Agent

I know two different people who bought their houses via the Daily Bulletin with no problems at all. Must be worth a try.

Hi PeeWee
I actually did place an ad in the Bulletin just before Christmas. I didn't actually receive ant response but was probably bad timing. Perhaps it may be worth a second try.
Thanks you for reminding me and welcome.
