Marc’s - Se Traspasa

I’ve just walked past Marc’s to the side of the Square and there’s a big orange ‘Se Traspasa’ sign in the window which usually signifies the sale/transfer of the business or premises to rent.

What a shame. We liked to go there a couple of times each holiday.
The staff were very friendly and the food was good if you enjoyed chilli etc.
I'm sure Marco?, worked in the original Nicos and not long before lockdown, he had taken on the business himself. It must have been a worrying time for him and perhaps it's not worked out!
The Menu of the Day was good value and remained the same for years.

Noooooo!!!!
Absolutely gutted about this. Always eat at Marcs first, middle and last night. Used to eat at Nicos when we first started going to PP.
Marcos has always been really friendly and this was probably our favourite restaurant taking everything into account.
Nice food, good value and a relaxed atmosphere. I remember his uncle, Cisco working there with him.
Definately will be much missed and good luck to whatever Marcos does next.

Marc may be just "testing the water" just like Can Fera last year but opened as normal when the season started.

That will be very sadly missed. We always found the service to be good , along with the food - and the prices we thought were really excellent value for money. I hope that the "Testing the Water" theory is correct, and we will once again be dining there this September.

Some people have heard that it will remain open for at least one more season.

Our favourite too! I felt so sorry for him as I'm sure he just took-over the restaurant himself when Covid hit. Really tough times for everyone but he must have had some sleepless nights, so he's done well to keep going and hopefully will continue until we can return.
The chilli is to die for.....
