Went passed Match Point yesterday and it was very busy for the football. In fact it was the only busy place. Maybe they are doing something right. Good on em.

ppfaneo welcome to the forum. Matchpoint may well have had a good night last night but it was not the only place to be busy, i can vouch for at least 6 other places that had a very busy night, which is great news for PP. :D

Does anybody know what kind of draught lager do they serve and how much is it? How much is it for a bottle of San Miguel?

Not sure of all the prices but a pint is about 3 or 3.50. I think it is Estrella that they have on draught plus other types of Estrella like Estrella Damm. Just remembered that they have Bud as well.

Whilst standing outside this place at the taxi rank last week I realised that by comparison with the signage of Luna del Miel? (the chines restaurant that used to be the best restaurant in town - the Terrazza Bar) it pales into insignificance!

Passed by this new sports bar a number of times last week and only saw a few people in there.
Personally I have only one opinion of this bar and i'm afraid it's YEK!!

Had a few wee drinks in this pub last week and personally my opinion (having actually been in it as opposed to walk by it) is yipee!!!!

Fab wee breeze on the front, lovely and clean with friendly service and decent prices. Whats not to like?

I have been told that the prices were reduced to a more reasonable level, that is good news. :)

Brill news, Rab! My first port of call will be Bony's! then onto Match point!!
Can you tell me if they serve a good roast? and if there is a enough room for my babies buggy? :D

Have not been in there and don't think i will, i have heard so many complaints about the place and those are from locals Someone had a Tanqueray gin and tonic (the tonic was a cheap brand) the bill was €8.50:eek:, another local told me he went there on the second night it was open and was charged €21 for 3 gin/tonics again cheap tonic and he said the measures were very small . Someone else said they were charged €5 for 2 small bottles of beer .

Maybe this place isn't quite as bad then as we first thought!!:
Babies Buggy Jiggy......something to tell us ...Congratulations in order??:D
When are you off to PP then? Enjoy

Dont think they do food but I saw the waiter hand out to some guys a few tapas dishes. 2 euros for a cana and they have a drinks price list on the tables so you know exactly what you stand. Plenty of room for buggies Jiggy (if you arent taking the p) with folding doors along the front which cna be either opened fully or closed over depending on the weather

Sports Bar

Certainly not a "in your face" type of place, obviously PP has to cater for the modern tourist who don't want to miss the major sports events. Much better than having TV's blaring out in the street.

Nice one Jiggy.

Hopefully yo can also take the toddlers as well and let them run mad. I am sure you will get chips, bacon butties, Heinz beans etc, all the papers, you can smoke inside, there will be wall to wall plasma tvs with 24 hour sport. What more could a man want to get away from it all and experience the authentic Mallorca!

Adios Dave

HI, Clapped eyes on this place for the first time 3 weeks ago. Now i dont care what they are offering be it good or bad but why on earth paint it black. As my wife remarked, " Where are the black limo's, it looks like shadracks funeral emporium".

If you dont like it dont go in!!! like someone has said before PP needs to cater to all tastes change will always happen good or bad.

Its the run down parts of PP you should be focusing on ,the sports bar is better than an empty shop IMO (tin hat at the ready!!!)

What would you prefer? A nice lilac? Pink? Beige? Purple? Lemon? (no forget Lemon, thats already had a hard time here).

Why dont you email the proprietors and petition them to have it changed to something you like? How dare they paint it the colour they think best? How inconsiderate!

Do yoursel a favour and actually go in and have a drink.

Rangers, May i urge you to read my post again. At no time did i comment as to what it was offering. My comment was about the colour black, not as to wheather i would use it or not. Anyone who thinks that looks good in the general setting needs to go to specksavers. As for the remark "It's the run down parts you should be focusing on" Did that more than once and got ripped to shreds. Just goes to show you can't win.

Rab, Has this site now reached the point where one is no longer aloud to voice an opinion. Correct me if i'm wrong but i thought that was the whole point. Having read your post's in the past i see you have voiced plenty of negative comments on establishments.
