Thanks for filling in some of the blanks PeRu. Is the Pines the restaurant on the next corner on from Bar Coral on the Formentor Road - I remember Leif moved to there after Font de Gall but cannot remember the trading name. didn't realise he was at Tramuntana - that must be going way back! Probably why I remember going there with my parents in the late 60's - my dada appreciated good food and wine - why do these taraits always rub off!!

The restaurant which is now The Pines was called Lief''s. Sometime after that it was Real Astoria, owned by Jeremy Joseph, then it became Googlers and latterly The Pines.
I know what you mean GG, my parents were foodies, my Mum was a sensational cook. I did City and Guilds for Catering and have been in the Restaurant business for well over thirty years. As you can imagine I love food and wine.
