Re: Music for Puerto Pollensa ***UPDATE***

Got 2,947 words written so far and still got 10 days before submission, but the ironing fell by the wayside when I came across an episode of 'Jonathan Creek' that I hadn't seen. I'll have to do it tomorrow night because the kids go back to school on tuesday. Going out in my lunch hour to buy some bunting ...... the music certainly helped the words to flow though - many thanks.

Re: Music for Puerto Pollensa ***UPDATE***

Your desciption of driving down the Alcudia road listening to carlos Santana play Smooth sounds paints a beautiful picture, We'll try it when out in October. It reminded me of the night whilst I was driving along the Edinburgh City Bye-Pass with Phil Collins singing "Something In The Air Tonight" as the street lights at the Gyle end of the Bye-Pass strobed through the sunroof of the car. Which has a comical note to it to, for those who don't know as you approach the Gyle end of Edinburgh City Bye-Pass you often see planes either taking off or landing at Edinburgh Airport as you approach the Roundabout:lol .

Thanks again

Rob

Re: Music for Puerto Pollensa ***UPDATE***

Latest work of genius by Dylan was released by Columbia this week, "No Direction Home, Genuine Bootleg Series Volume Seven". For anyone who wants to hear perfection within popular music, this is it, and it sounds just as fresh and relevant today, as when it was all recorded.

Can you remember where you were when you first heard "Like a Rolling Stone"?.

Re: Music for Puerto Pollensa ***UPDATE***

New album by Neil Young, "Praire Wind", released tomorrow, (Monday) on Reprise Records, and don't forget Bob's on Arena - No Direction Home-, also tomorrow, BBC2 at 9pm.

Re: Music for Puerto Pollensa ***UPDATE***

I was asked just the other night if I planned a 2006 remix!
Can I tell this person that I prefer their idea and yes we could work on it together............but we need some new tracks....
...................so get your thinking caps on!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Music

Hi Rob

Just back from PP and that always gets me in the mood for some chill out music..well it did while I was there but now I'm back more in the mood for 'blues' :(

Re: Music

Debz, Some how I just know it wont be long before your having another hole night on the tiles in PP, maybe one of these times we can all meet up for those long awaited pre & post meal drinks at Bonys, just keep chealseadons away from the black & decker and tell me we are meeting an hour prior to when you want me to be there there:rollin :rollin :rollin
Take care.

Re: Music

Good idea Rob! Just don't put your watch forward on the plane out then you'll always be on time..or would that make you an hour late?? :\ Heads wuzzy after the party in the room last night!!

Another one possibly for the cd Jack Johnson..really chilled out! Whole cd is brilliant but my faves are Better Together, Sitting Waiting Wishing or Never Know.

jiggy:D

Re: Music

I've played Jack Johnson to death and still can't get enough of it.

Debz, was it you who recommended Jose Gonzalez. I've lost the thread :lol - where you mentioned the album title. What was it again ?

Re: Music

Hi Sandy,

It was me who mentioned the Jose Gonazlez album which is called Veneer.

Regards
Jane:D

PS - the message is in the Chilled Out In Pollensa thread further down this page!:)

Re: Music

Glad you liked Jack Johnson jiggy..I got the album at Christmas and instantly loved it but I think it is even better now for summer listening. Doesn't matter what mood I'm in (and Chels will tell you I can be a moody *"%~@ ) it aways seems to lift my mood.

It's on the ipod and is going to be played a lot ( along with last years PP cd ;) !) while I'm sitting on my balcony with a G and T or chilled glass of rosado Mmmmm:D .

C'mon Rob don't let us down...no pressure ;) !

Re: Music

We seem to have two sites going for this - I thought I was going mad as I was sure I had already had postings for Jack Johnson - the other site is "chilled out in Puerto Pollensa CD". Which one are we sticking to guys - or will Rob have to make a million copies!!?? :rollin
