L'Olivera has been taken over for 2011 new name new menu
due to open March 2011, any ideas when Puerto Pollensa starts picking up after the winter close-down:)

Hi jobean and welcome to the forum. What is it going to be called and what kind of food will it be doing?.
There are always a few people around at Easter but the season does not officially start until May. :)

L'Olivera changes hands La Cabaña opens March 2011

L'Olivera will be re-opening this year in March as La Cabaña serving breakfast lunch and tapas.
The new owner has 2 tapas restaurants in Newcastle & Durham El Coto Spanish Restaurants and will be serving fresh authentic food to suit all tastes in Puerto Pollensa, in their new venture.

Been to El Coto in Newcastle. It is excellent so we will definitely be dining there when it opens in March.

The Nags Head has been taken over and is going to re-open for San Antoni as a 50's style American Diner, i don't have any more details yet but will keep you posted as and when i hear more. :D

Shame about the Nags Head's closure but it was always going to be a difficult ride. Only really used by some ex-pats and a handful of tourists who happend across it.

At least it will be given a new lease of life. Hopefully it will have a proper makeover rather than just a lick of paint?

Does anyone know what Keith and Angie are doing? I wish them well.

Angie and Keith are living and working back in the UK. I heard from them the other day and they are well. ;):)

Thanks for that. At least things are relatively okay for them.

Cheers.

Yes glad they are ok Sparky its such a shame when this happens, as for the new restaurant it sounds very interesting I trust you may be able to update us with a review when it opens?

Hardley's American Diner.

Run by the Hardley family the diner will open this Sunday evening. Stage one of the re-fit is almost complete with some of the old booth seating being removed along with the old striped wallpaper and beams, stage two will follow later in the year. :D

La Cabana was open last night, appeared empty when I passed and didn't see menu.

Does anyone have any idea if Toni & Dani will be involved with La Cabaña or have they moved on ?

Not that i am aware of Doogz but if they pop up anywhere in the Port i will let you know.:)

Thanks Sparky ! L´Olivera has become one of our regular restaurants over the last couple of years so it would be good to catch up with the twins on our next visit :)

Jobean, never eaten in any tapas bars in England for some strange reason though might give your PP place a try.
